HMC 2024 April Refresh Log

Ok, let’s get this blog back up to date. For the time being, I’ll be updating things by writing to a monthly blog. That should allow us to get caught up on the hottest high-mile updates. To keep things all in one spot, I’ll be using one article that I’ll pin to the top of the blog. So let’s get started.

Update #1 – The million mile Elantra

This 2018 story happened when I was still updating the blog so I can’t believe I actually missed it. Apparently, Farrah Haines million-mile 2013 Hyundai Elantra has an odometer that cannot register miles over 999,999 so they called it a day and gave here 1M emblem on her odometer, plus a new 2019 Elantra Sendra for good measure. Well done! Check out the original story over on Car and Driver. I’ll be adding Farrah’s Elantra to the Top 50.

Update #2 – Paul Silva’s 2001 Hyundai Sonata Mileage update.

Long time HMC leaderboard member and reader Paul Silva has updated us on is Sonata. He is now sitting at 645,393 miles though he says is now driving a new Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue as it gets an stunning 59 MPG. We hear you Paul. Still, nice going on the classic Sonata. We’ll update ya.
