Petrolicious is at it again. You may remember the last time they featured a high-mile classic car, the Porsche 356.  That car was close to a million miles, which launched it right into our hall of fame page. This story, however, is a little different.

This Lamborgini 400FT 2+2 in this  video is simply stunning. It’s not quite at 300,000 miles, and I need to clarify that is really just a drop in the bucket when talking about high-mile cars, but this is a Lambo here, and 300,000 in any grand tourer exotic sports car with a V12 engine is going to be pretty rare. In fact, as owner Jack Riddell mentions in the video, most people are putting these in garages to keep them safe. Not drive them thousands of miles a year.

Some of the interesting tidbits I took away from the video were that Jack bought the car at 23,000 miles in 1972 and put on the remainder himself. He has also been driving it for thirty four years. I really like it when he says that a car gets better when you drive it a lot. It keeps the engine clean and it prevents the spark plugs from getting messed up. Jack mentions that if his car could talk it would say, “Drive me!”  Isn’t that what high-mile driving is all about?  I’m very delighted that Petrolicious was able to find Jack and interview him.

I’ve been wondering for a few weeks now which super-car out there has the highest mileage. Super-car owners aren’t wont to use their vehicles as daily drivers, but I’m curious who has taken their car to the limit.  I’ve found one such story that might confirm the highest-mile super car in history. This 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago, which was sadly wrecked in a traffic accident last year is probably the record holder at over 250,000 miles .  I haven’t been able to find anything higher. If you know of a super-car that has more than 258,098 miles, then please let me know.
