HMC Exclusive: Starting Your Adventure With a Super High-Mile Honda Prelude from 1992

Today’s high-mile story is fairly unique. William Stewart recently bought a 1992 Honda Prelude with 760,000 miles on the odometer (He’s since added another 5000 miles to it.) Normally an odometer reading on a car like that would send a potential buyer running in terror, but William had been hoping to buy this car since it had 400,000 miles on it.  So William’s story here is that he is just beginning his adventure with his high-miler. He has all the original documents and maintenance records from the previous owner. There has been no major rebuilds done on the vehicle.

Personally, I have no problem with someone buying into the high-mile lifestyle. It’s a way to keep those vehicles going while writing a new chapter in their history. I’m hoping William will continue to put those mile on! Keep us updated.

  1. Woah! No rebuilds, that’s impressive. Did William mention if it has a manual or a slush box? Either way, 750k+ is really fantastic, and you’re right, it does not matter if an owner ran those miles him/herself or if they decided to keep an older high mileage vehicle on the road!
