Steve Stone and his 63′ Corvette

I can’t believe I haven’t seen this article until now. Apparently, Corvette owner Steve Stone has been nursing a 1963 black corvette since he originally purchased it, with the help of his father. How has he been babying this ‘vette? Well he put a cool 511,000 miles on it, and has driven it practically everywhere in North America. The article has a couple of photos of the engine, and it looks pristine. This man knows how to take care of his car.  Read the article for the full story.

Of course, don’t let the shine fool you. This vehicle has had its frame replaced and is now on its fourth engine. It’s been reupholstered twice  Still, to keep it going is nothing short of a miracle.  He has all sorts of tips on how to keep your vehicle maintained. He claims to spend around a thousand a year keeping his car in shape, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a wee more than than, especially considering the paint job, and tailpipes that seems look brand new. Well done Steve. You go in the hall of fame.

  1. Been following Steve’s travels for awhile! I met him at the Cache Valley Cruise-In car show in Logan, Utah a couple of summers ago. Great guy and his story is inspirational!
